Authoring Overview 

The mapanno authoring space is split into two parts:
  • My Profile
  • My Desktop
Within 'My Profile' you manage your main authoring preferences. 'My Desktop' is where all the action takes place and is where you can search for images, author content using the editor and publish. The following screen shots are to give you an idea of how this happens.

  • Mash up your images and author content
  • Organise and download your content

Editor 

Each mapanno you create is edited using a simple editing toolbar which allows you to:
  • Position and move content around your mapanno
  • Insert Text, HTML, icons and images into your mapanno
  • Change the style of content such as rounded corners, font color, backgrounds and borders

Its a bit confusing creating a mapanno of a mapanno! - Just click on the red squares!

The editing toolbar with functions to add images, text, html and change the appearance of your content.

You can drag the toolbar around the screen - useful for large images!

The editing window appears as an overlay to the main page - so no browser window switching or page re-freshing.
